Properties: White crystalline. Hygroscopic, turns yellow when exposed to light or left for a long time. Soluble in water, alcohol, and acetone. Loses one molecule of crystallization water when heated to 73℃, and loses two molecules of crystallization water when heated to 80℃. Corrosive to glass and ceramics when melted. Store in a moisture-proof sealed container. |
Applications: Pharmaceutical industry, photography industry, and synthesis of related artificial crystals. |
